The South West RDA working in partnership with the Crown Estate have carried out extensive consultation which has informed the masterplan to deliver a high quality mixed scheme of redevelopment. This will focus on achieving economic regeneration for the Island of Portland and surrounding area. Sustainable job creation forms a key element of the proposals. Overall the site is capable of accommodating up to 55,000 square metres (600,000 sq. ft.) of development.
